WEDDING INVITATIONS AND THE ENTIRE ENSEMBLE
INCLUDING RSVP AND WEDDING PROGRAMS
Wedding invitations are just the beginning. Wedding stationery goes beyond the wedding invitation that shares your ceremony details. While choosing your Wedding stationery, consider some of the wedding card extras that will make your wedding that much more special. Don't worry about including everything; instead, build your wedding stationery around your wedding.
SAVE THE DATE CARDS
Many ensembles offer 'Save the Date' cards, which tend to be the first time you communicate with the majority of your guests.
If you choose to use a Save the Date card, you should keep in mind that the Save the Date card sets the tone for your wedding. Is your wedding traditional? Whimsical? Maybe avant-garde? Your Save the Date card is your first chance to tell your love story to your guests, in a way that reflects your personal style!
SAVE THE DATES ~
WHAT ARE THEY? They give your guests advance notice of where and when your wedding will take place.
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? If you're planning a destination wedding or have guests traveling from far away, including Save the Dates will allow friends and familty to make their travel plans in advance.
RESPONSE CARDS ~
WHAT ARE THEY? They are sent with your invitations and allow guests to RSVP to your wedding.
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? Response Cards are a standard part of your wedding ensemble and essential to planning - don't skip this feature. They will provide you with a headcount for the caterer and let you know who is sharing in your event.
RECEPTION CARDS ~
WHAT ARE THEY? They let your guests know the location of the reception.
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? If your ceremony and reception are in different locations, you may want to give guests a chance to plan ahead with a Reception Card.
WEDDING PROGRAMS ~
WHAT ARE THEY? They tell your guests the order of events during your ceremony. Typically, programs will list the names of everyone in your wedding party and give you a chance to add a personal note of thanks.
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? Consider a Wedding Program if your ceremony will include many different elements or specific religious/local customs. A Wedding Program is a good place to explain to guests what's happening during your ceremony.
TABLE CARDS & PLACE CARDS ~
WHAT ARE THEY? As your guests walk into your reception, WeddingTable Cards (or Escort Cards) direct them to their seats. Wedding Place cards sit on each table and assign guests to a specific seat.
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? Use Table Cards to make sure your grandparents can sit up close and that your guests will know others at their table. Consider Place Cards if there's more than one entrance to your reception. Both are generally not needed.
MENU CARDS ~
WHAT ARE THEY? Wedding Menu cards are on each table and explain the courses to be served at dinner or the options at the buffet.
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? Some of your guests are vegan and others have religious restrictions, or maybe you are serving some exotic foods; if so, you may want to let everyone know the wedding menu choices.
EVENTS CARD ~
WHAT ARE THEY? Event Cards tell guests what is in store for each day leading up to and after the wedding. With a wedding schedule of events, your guests won't miss out on any of the wedding fun!
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? One day is just not quite enough - you are planning a rehearsal dinner for out of town guests and a brunch for the day after. Wedding Events Cards are also perfect for destination weddings that tend to span two or three days.
DIRECTION CARD ~
WHAT ARE THEY? When your ceremony and reception are being held in different locations, a Wedding Direction Card eases your guests' transition from one place to the next.
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? You found the perfect reception site, and the only problem is that it's a 30 minute drive from the ceremony. Knowing that your guests will arrive easily will take one less worry off your mind on the big day.
ACCOMODATION CARDS ~
WHAT ARE THEY? Accommodation Cards give your guests options of hotels to stay at during your festivities.
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? If many your guests are from out of town, Accommodation Cards give them options of hotels close by. Also, by calling the hotels to reserve rooms you will get your guests a better rate.
THANK YOU NOTES ~
WHAT ARE THEY? Thank You Notes let your guests know how much you appreciate their gift and that they shared in your special day.
WHEN DO I NEED THEM? Always. Even if you choose something separate from your invitations, be sure to thank your guests for being a part of your wedding day.
